Christopher Coloian

Chris Coloian is a business executive with more than twenty years of experience in strategy and management consulting, healthcare services and health insurance. Mr. Coloian has participated in the executive management team of four organizations in these market segments, achieving successful strategy creation, product launch and double digit revenue and earnings growth for each of the companies and their investors.  Mr. Coloian has held leadership roles in a number of disciplines including: general management, business development, strategic planning, M&A, operations, and product development.

 

Mr. Coloian is the head of Business Development for Phios.  Prior to working with Phios, Mr. Coloian was a Senior Vice President for Health Dialog, where he is a member of the executive team and responsible for the International Business  and Product Management.   Prior to this, Mr. Coloian served as Vice President of CIGNA Healthcare, one of the country’s largest national health insurers.  During his 8 years at the company Mr. Coloian ran the chronic care management programs increasing annual sales volume from $50 million to $250 million over 5 years.  In his last three years at CIGNA, Mr. Coloian led the Health Services Product department and had responsibility for over $1 billion in revenue and $250 million in earnings.  During that time period Mr. Coloian successfully launched over twenty products to market.

 

Before joining CIGNA, Mr. Coloian served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Matria Healthcare, a leading chronic care management and medical device manufacturing company.  Mr. Coloian was responsible for the strategy to successfully enter the chronic care management industry and acquisition of Gainor Medical.  Matria was later acquired by Inverness Medical for its disease management business.

 

Mr. Coloian is the Chair-Elect of the Disease Management Association of America, the leading Industry group representing over 200 companies in the Care Management Industry.

 

Mr. Coloian graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 with a Masters in Health Administration and Miami University in 1988 with a bachelors degree in Zoology.  Mr. Coloian currently serves on the Board of Regents Surgical Health and Christcot Medical, the Advisory Board of Jefferson University Public Health Program and is an Editor for the Population Health Management Journal.
