Thomas W. Malone, Ph.D. is the Founder and Chairman of Phios Corporation. He is the leader of the MIT research team that developed the concepts and technology upon which the Phios approach is based. In addition to Phios, Dr. Malone has founded two other software companies. He is an inventor and holder of 10 patents and is a Patrick J. McGovern Professor of Management at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Dr. Malone also is the Founder & Director of MIT Center for Coordination Science and one of two founding co-directors of MIT initiative on “Inventing the Organizations of the 21st Century”. He is the co-editor of three books:  Coordination Theory & Collaboration Technology, Inventing the Organizations of the 21st Century and Organizing Business Knowledge: The MIT Process Handbook. Additionally, he has published over 50 research papers and book chapters.

Dr. Malone has a Ph.D. from Stanford University and degrees in applied mathematics, engineering and psychology.
