Phios has built a custom application to meet the needs of one of its clients, a Fortune 50 healthcare software and services provider. This client has multiple teams of consultants in various healthcare facilities gathering information on how work gets done. The newly developed application has taken what was a manual, time consuming data collection process and transformed it into an electronic, streamlined process. By effectively leveraging the client’s existing electronic knowledge base, developed using the Phios software, this application automatically generates questionnaires for use by these consultant teams. Predetermined and structured information is now able to be electronically gathered and uploaded into the clients existing knowledge base, and used to generate new models on the activities of specific healthcare facilities. The application, built using .Net, significantly reduces time taken to gather information and provides an effective mechanism to ensure consistency across various consultant teams. Moreover, it effectively reduces level of expertise required to conduct data gathering activities thereby better leveraging more experienced consultants. “This is a great tool for consultants and we think this could be easily customized for any specific client needs” says Patrick Flynn, Phios CEO. “We are very excited about this application and can envision applying this to tablet PC’s and PDA’s in the future.
