Phios Products now 508-compliant

Cambridge, MA (August 20, 2001) The web sites and products of Phios Corporation are now in compliance with the Standards for Electronic and Information Technology/Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications under section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act. These standards require that "... electronic and information technology used by the Federal government be accessible to and usable by people with disabilities."

Toward that end, we have added code and--in some cases--visible text, to navigation links, image maps, style sheets, electronic forms, scripts, tables, text tags, and designated colors (in cases such as heat maps, where color is used to convey specific information). These additions enable people with disabilities full accessibility to all the information in the Phios Process Repository and Tools.

Phios Corporation is a leading provider of business process and knowledge management tools. Phios supplies software tools and content for electronic knowledge repositories that help companies better manage their business processes. Companies use these tools to establish process repositories in order to explicitly define and manage their own processes and find state-of-the-art knowledge about how other companies perform similar processes. Incorporated in 1996, the company is privately financed.
